Theatre sets 12th season

Actors Repertory Theatre has announced its 12th season of professional theater, which includes six productions to be presented in the Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center, 1771 Inner Circle Drive.
      The theatre is offering season tickets at $89 for general admission and $79 for senior citizens. Those interested can call 647-7469.
      "A Grand Night For Singing," a musical tribute to Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II featuring many of the team's greatest musical numbers, will be presented Sept. 12-20.
      "Three Tall Women" will be performed Oct. 3-11. The masterwork play earned Edward Albee the Pulitzer Prize and three Best Play Awards.
      "A Christmas Carol," a musical adaptation of this classic tale, comes to life on the stage Dec. 12-20.
      Jan. 23-31 will see performances of "A Streetcar Named Desire." The shocking story of Blanche DuBois and the crudely sensual Stanley Kowalski earned Tennessee Williams a Pulitzer Prize.
      "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," a musical comedy that gives a view of small town vice and statewide corruption, as it recounts the demise of the Chicken Ranch, will be performed Feb. 27-March 7.
      The season ends April 30-May 9 with "The Complete Works of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)." It is a humorous treatment of the works of prolific playwrite William Shakespeare, with all his works condensed to just more than 90 minutes.
