      The Paradise Valley American Little League will have registration at Lake Elementary School, 2904 Meteoro St.
      Dates and times are as follows: Jan. 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Jan. 27 from 6-8 p.m., Jan. 30 1-4 p.m., and Feb. 4 from 6-8 p.m.
      First-time participants will need to bring a proof of residence and a birth certificate.

     Latest YMCA program
     guide now available
     
      The YMCA's 1999 Winter/Spring Program Guide is available and includes listings for programs, leagues and classes for all ages.
      For a fee, the YMCA offers among other things fencing and tennis programs for youths and adults, year-round swimming lessons, youth basketball leagues, Itty-Bitty sports programs for pre-schoolers and parents, track break and holiday camps, taekwondo, post-stroke or arthritis acquiesces classes and a new Ready-To-Be-Fit program.
      Those interested in receiving the latest YMCA Program Guide can call 877-9622, or stop by the Bennett Family YMCA at 4141 Meadows Lane.
     
     YMCA hoops league
     seeks participants
     
      Registration for the YMCA Winter/Spring Youth Basketball Leagues is open and runs through Feb. 7 for boys and girls in grades 1-12.
      The season begins Feb. 19 and runs through April 17. Grades 1-8 play on Saturdays and grades 9-12 play on Friday nights.
      Registration fees include a team jersey.

     Las Vegas to stage
     girls golf tournament
     
      Las Vegas will be the host of the 1999 Girls Junior America's Cup Matches at Stallion Mountain Country Club, from July 26-29.
      Eighteen teams will participate and host families are needed for the 72 players.
      Those interested in hosting a junior golfer during the event can contact Cheryl at the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association at 433-0626.

     Central Little League
     
      The Central Little League will have registration at Eldorado High School, 1139 Linn Lane.
      Dates and times are as follows: Jan. 9 and 16 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Jan. 13 from 5-9 p.m.
      The cost for each player is $85.
