Casino prospers with racing theme

      When Mountaineer Gaming Corp. bought the former Cheyenne Hotel at Interstate 15 and Cheyenne Avenue last July, the plan was to renovate the property in an effort to attract new patrons.
      "We looked at several different themes," said Don Kennedy, director of sales and marketing of the new Ramada Inn /Speedway Casino and Cafe. "We chose the racing theme because of the proximity to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway."
