      Don Galbraith recently learned about wandering the hard way.
      A common problem among Alzheimer's disease patients, "wandering" takes place when a person strays away from their family or caregiver and is unable to remember how to return home. Occurrences are far from isolated and can be very frightening to those effected, as Galbraith discovered a few weeks ago.

Colorful work brightens up arts center

      Mindy Copland stepped into the Reed Whipple Cultural Center Gallery, stopped after two steps and looked wide-eyed at the large paintings ringing the walls.
      "I just couldn't believe the color, so bright and wonderful; Van Gogh would have been proud," said Copland, who sauntered into the gallery before picking up her child at the center, located across from Cashman Field at 821 N. Las Vegas Blvd.
