Club closes as another opens door

      While one Henderson-based music club recently closed its doors, another is preparing to open just down the road.
      The Ozone, 722 W. Sunset Road, ceased operations Dec. 26, exactly one year after opening, due to what part-owner Jim Bartoli said was lackluster response to the all-ages club.

Girls enjoy annual night out with `guys'

      Rocking around the clock with dad -- that's what more than 250 poodle skirt-clad girls were doing Jan. 22 at the annual "Me and My Guy Night" at Vanderburg Elementary School, 2040 Desert Shadow Trail.
      For hours, dozens of men dizzily swirled their daughters, sisters and nieces while tunes from the 1950s filled the school's multipurpose room.
