Evangelist to speak at church

      Wellspring Church and Christian Center, 1401 N. Decatur Blvd., will welcome evangelist Ray Brooks for a series of special meetings.
      Brooks, who has preached in several European countries, will discuss salvation and deliverance for the lost and those in bondage beginning Monday at 7 p.m. The lectures will take place nightly through Jan. 17.
      The center will also sponsor an 11-week Wellspring Biblical Discipleship Center beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

      n Midbar Kodesh Temple will break ground for its new temple at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 13. The conservative synagogue, located east of Discovery Park on Paseo Verde Parkway, will be the first permanent Jewish facility in Henderson. Those interested can call 454-4848.
