     Board of Regents
     to hold meeting

     
     
The University and Community College of Southern Nevada Board of Regents is scheduled to meet from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the Richard Tam Alumni Center.
      The meeting is open to the public. Meeting agendas are posted in the Flora Dungan Humanities Building.
     
     Puppet play
     slated for Friday

     
      Theatreworks USA is slated to present the puppet-based play `Animal Crackers' at 10 a.m. Friday inside Artemus Ham Hall.

     Clay-based art
     featured in display

     
      Cory Roth's Drawings on Clay exhibit will be featured in the Metcalf Gallery inside the Richard Tam Alumni Center beginning at 9 a.m. Monday.
      The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
     
     Argentina group
     set for performance

     
      Tango Buenos Aires, a company of 25 dancers and musicians from Buenos Aires, Argentina, will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday inside Artemus Ham Hall.
      Tickets range from $44.50 to $108.50 and are available at the Performing Arts Center box office and Dillard's outlets or by calling 895-3801 or (800)-654-9545.
     
     Business college
     gets interim dean

     
      Richard Morgan, dean of the Boyd School of Law, has been named interim dean of the College of Business. He will continue as dean of the law school.
      Morgan and associate dean Nasser Daneshvary will run the business college until June 30.
     
     Company donates
     $21,000 in equipment

     
      Mercury Blueprint recently completed a $38,000 philanthropy effort, with UNLV receiving a substantial portion of the donation.
      UNLV's Geo-science department received $8,200 worth of maps and the school of architecture received $13,000 worth of T-squares, triangles, templates, mechanical pencils, scales, sketch pads and rolls of vellum. Mercury Blueprint specializes in blueprinting services and supplies and has been around since 1954.
