Professional organizer Jackie Allen has been helping businesses throughout the Las Vegas Valley to enhance their production by getting organized, and now she is offering four free informative seminars just in time for National Procrastination Week and National Organize Your Home Office Day in March.
"Nearly everyone is guilty of procrastinating at times, and many don't realize the adverse effects it has on other people in their work places," Allen said. "One seminar will offer people techniques on dealing with procrastination, and the other will explain to people how to get the most out of their home offices."
Procrastination seminars are scheduled at the following times and locations:
n From 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Stress Management Center of Nevada, 601 Whitney Ranch Road in Henderson.
n From 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Organized Living, 2182 N. Rainbow Blvd. in Northwest Las Vegas.
Organize Your Home Offices seminars are scheduled at the following times and locations:
n From 7 to 8 p.m. March 23 at Organized Living in Green Valley at 501 Stephanie St.
n From 11 a.m. to noon March 27 at Organized Living at 2182 N. Rainbow Blvd. in the Northwest.
At each seminar, Allen will hold a drawing for two free hours of organizing one's business or home, valued at $100 each. People may register or enter the drawings at the beginning of March by filling out a form and leaving it in a box at the counter of any Organized Living store.
National Procrastination Week is the first week of March and is considered a good time to reflect on the work environment, projects and getting updated on assignments, Allen said. Procrastinators, ranging from employees and employers of small to large companies, tend to have more stress due to their postponement of projects and services.
"They are always making promises to have something completed and services delivered by a certain point, and when they fail to do so, it brings added pressure to their lives and makes them lose credibility among their customers," Allen said.
As a professional organizer for more than three years, Allen meets with businesses to offer solutions, systems, structure, and information to help employers and employees maximize production, reduce stress, and become more profitable. She helps businesses regain balance, accuracy, and consistency.
Allen's company is called Organized Solutions.
