Protesters hold mayor in contempt

      About 30 protesters staged a rally during the Heritage Days Parade on April 24 in support of the proposed Black Mountain Studios project.
      The group began its demonstration at the United Steelworkers of America Local 4856 union hall on Water Street 30 minutes before the start of the parade and turned their backs on Mayor Jim Gibson as he passed by the rally.
