      While practicing English via a play about Cinco de Mayo, Jeffrey Hernandez learned loads about his culture.
      The Twin Lakes Elementary School fourth-grader played Benito Juarez, the 19th century Mexican president who led Mexico to victory over French forces on May 5, 1862.

Molasky pupils take on task of `Miracle Worker'

      Molasky Junior High School drama teacher Michelle Geller vividly remembers what prompted her to follow her dreams.
      "(It was) the story of `The Miracle Worker' with Helen Keller. I watched it in my high school years, and the role of Anne Sullivan is what inspired me to be a teacher," said Geller, who followed her passion into the Clark County School District three years ago. "It's just amazing the drive she had, and what this child, Helen Keller, had inside. She just needed somebody to unlock it. I feel like that with my kids all the time."
