Grill expands to second location

      Southwestern-style dining heads to the west as Z'Tejas Grill opens a second location at Peccole Ranch. The new Z'Tejas restaurant is located at 9560 W. Sahara Ave., just west of Fort Apache in the Village Square at Peccole Ranch.
      After six successful years as one of the most popular restaurant in Las Vegas, Z'Tejas will expand its operations from its current Paradise location to provide a new dining opportunity for residents on the west side of town.
      Designed to offer guests a casual, comfortable dining experience, the new restaurant features natural wood detailing, Texas limestone and two large fireplaces. The new restaurant will accommodate up to 240 guests, with seating available in the dining room, on the climate-controlled patio and inside the bar area.
      The new Peccole Ranch location will feature many of the eclectic southwestern menu items found at the Paradise Road location, with a few new items added to spice up the variety.
      "Our menu blends fresh ingredients and unique flavors from the southwest into simple yet innovative dishes," said Steve Coppolillo, executive chef. "Our guests on the west side will be able to enjoy many of our classic Z'Tejas menu items along with a few new dishes we've created specifically for our new location."
      New items, including pepper crusted New York strip, will be featured alongside such Z'Tejas signature dishes as voo doo tuna, Jamaica jerk chicken salad, crawfish crab cakes and pork roast vera cruz.
      One notable Z'Tejas tradition that will continue in the new location is weekday happy hour specials. Every Monday through Friday, Z'Tejas offers discounted drinks and half-priced appetizers from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
      Known for its Texas-style margaritas, made with a generous pour of tequila and fresh fruit juices, the bar at Z'Tejas also features fruit-infused tequilas and an extensive wine list with more than 60 selections from around the world.
      Z'Tejas was founded in 1989 by restaurateurs Guy Villavaso and Paul Fleming in Austin, Texas. The partners developed a unique restaurant concept designed to showcase the flavors and cuisine indigenous to the southern border region of the United States, specifically Texas, Louisiana, California and Mexico.
      With the opening of the new Z'Tejas at Peccole Ranch, there are now restaurants in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Ariz., Denver and Austin, Texas.
      Z'Tejas Grill at Peccole Ranch is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Beginning Saturday, the Peccole Ranch location will be open at 10 a.m. for Southwestern-style weekend brunch.
