Candidates square off for mayor

      The candidates for Las Vegas mayor stuck to their scripts during a unique question-and-answer debate in Sun City.
      Criminal defense attorney Oscar Goodman, framing himself as a populist and mouthpiece for the little guy, said, among other things, that he'd explore using portions of impact fees to revitalize inner cities, urge the Legislature to enact higher gaming taxes and work to increase police presence in Sun City.

Charter expands clientele

      Community One Federal Credit Union, formerly Network Federal Credit Union, recently received approval from the National Credit Union Administration to serve all Clark County residents.
      Changing from an employer-based charter to a community-based charter allows Community One to serve more than 40 percent of Clark County residents who don't have credit union options, said president and CEO J. Alan Pughes.
