      Artist Mark Vranesh, organizer of today's second Trails Village Center art festival, says the two-day event will have enough fine artwork and crafts to satisfy the most avid collectors.
      More than 60 local and regional artists have contributed paintings, jewelry, sculpture, glass art and pottery for the all-day event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at the center at Village Center Circle. The Michael T. Jazz Band will perform from 1 to 3 p.m. both days.

Chemistry Fun Night teaches parents, pupils

      Sixth-grader Gia Minnozzi wasn't quite sure what to expect after pouring together several ingredients in her chemistry class and stirring them. But she soon found out.
      "It's like flubber. I want to dye it green," said the 11-year-old, while squeezing a handful of the rubbery substance made famous by Robin Williams in the movie "Flubber."
