Margaret J. Desruisseaux, director of development and resources at Faith Lutheran Junior-Senior High School, has been appointed director of management services and development for the school.
In her new position, she will oversee finances, facility development, expansion and maintenance for the school -- established 20 years ago -- that moved onto a 40-acre campus last year at 2015 S. Hualapai Way in Summerlin.
Desruisseaux is developing and executing a business plan, securing financing for all capital projects, acting as owner's representative on construction projects, facility management and overall school public relations.
Her staff will include a development officer and administrative support to develop and manage development functions and facility management.
Desruisseaux joined Faith Lutheran in 1994. She holds a bachelor's degree in business management from UNLV and spent 10 years at the University of California, San Diego, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, where she was a management services officer.
At Faith Lutheran, she has negotiated the sale of former school property to the Clark County School District, engineered the purchase of 40 acres in Summerlin, secured financing for constructing the $12-million campus and acted as owner's representative.
In addition, she secured funding and oversaw construction of a football field and all-weather track at the school that expects an enrollment of 680 students this fall.
Faith Lutheran Junior-Senior High School is owned and operated by the Lutheran Secondary School Association of Southern Nevada Lutheran Churches.
