      A Florida developer hopes to give Las Vegas residents a little breathing room by introducing dwellings that are relatively obscure in the desert: high-rise condominiums.
      With 6,000 people moving to Las Vegas every month and empty land being filled with buildings and houses, representatives of Turnberry Associates are building a high-rise community near the Strip in hopes that it will maximize space and combat urban sprawl in the city.

      He dreams of the '50s when he strolls downtown for a dose of casino nostalgia. Something about the time-worn honor of the Golden Gate and the Horseshoe warm the Connecticut native.
