      Whitney-area resident Shari Borkin, an artist, put painstaking effort into making her home the perfect living and working environment, decorating the interior to reflect her personality and creating an atmosphere that inspired her work.
      But that inspirational feeling was shattered in August when Borkin's house was burglarized by Charles Leviege, a man living with her next-door neighbor.
