      Vincent Baginski has never been the type of person to wait for his ship to come in. Instead, he's the kind of man who builds it.
      For the past 25 years, the retired Marine Corps gunnery sergeant has been doing just that, at least on a small scale. Baginski builds tall model ships, some as big as 5 feet in height and 4 feet in width, as a hobby.

      Justin Butler could have taken more language classes at his high school. He could have taken another class in history or world affairs.
      Yet, the 17-year-old graduate of the Las Vegas Academy chose to close the books after earning his degree in three years last June, and experience first-hand what he could have read about.
