Gibson praises city's past, future in speechBy Chris JonesView staff writer At the close of what was perhaps the most remarkable decade in the city's history, Mayor Jim Gibson said Henderson's residents have many good reasons to look forward to a bright and prosperous future. During his Jan. 20 State of the City address, Gibson praised a number of factors that contributed to the city's rise from a World War II-era industrial village to the fastest-growing city in the United States.
