Former Bartlett pupils reminisce

      Before the class of 2000 moves toward the future, they visited Bartlett Elementary -- the school they helped open in 1992 -- to see past teachers and open the time capsule they sealed as fifth-graders.
      Joined by past Bartlett principal Brad Reitz and teachers, the former Bighorns -- comprised of seniors from Chaparral, Bishop Gorman, Green Valley and Silverado high schools -- looked through photos commemorating their last year of elementary school. They also laughed at their favorite things from the 1992-93 school year -- television shows Beverly Hills 90210, Full House and the Simpsons, movies such as Disney's Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast and the Home Alone movies, as well as sports figures Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller.

Plan for TV show shelved

      Plans for a cable access channel that would focus on the city of Henderson have been temporarily shelved due to lack of viewer interest.
      Like those currently offered by the City of Las Vegas and Clark County, Henderson officials had hoped to launch their own cable access channel sometime this summer.
