Country duo slated for Primm

      Superstar country duo Brooks & Dunn are scheduled to perform with special guest Andy Griggs at Buffalo Bill's Star of the Desert Arena on Sept. 8 at 8 p.m.
      The duo's career achievements include "Entertainer of the Year" for both the Country Music Association in 1996 and the Academy of Country Music in 1995 and 1996. They have received "Duo of the Year" honors from the CMA for the past eight consecutive years and from the ACM for seven consecutive years. They were also named "Top Country Duo" at the 2000 American Music Awards.
      Collectively, Brooks & Dunn have sold nearly 21 million records. They have one quintuple-platinum, two quadruple-platinum, three triple-platinum, five double-platinum and six platinum RIAA Certified Albums to their credit.
      They've had 17 No. 1 hits and 26 top 10 hits in their career.
      Brooks & Dunn are consistently among the top draws on the concert circuit. Their 1997 tour, which they co-headlined with Reba McEntire, broke all previous highest-grossing country tour records. The duo is currently in the midst of their "Coors Light Tailgate Tour," which is taking them to casinos, fairs and festivals.
      "I'm having such a good time playing music right now," Kix Brooks said. "The band's playing good, and the crowds have been really rocking. It's good to get back here."
      Griggs, acclaimed for his distinctive soulful voice, is a hot newcomer whose debut self-titled album has received critical acclaim and chart success. His third single, "She's More," reached No. 2 on the country charts.
