City highlights recreation options

      The Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services last month had its semi-annual Leisure Awareness Fair at Meadows Mall.
      Representatives from every division of Leisure Services were available to pass out literature, answer questions and pique the interest of shoppers on the city's programs. Demonstrations to exhibit some of the activities included country line dancing, tai chi and senior center Hawaiian dancing.

Residents celebrate park redevelopment

      The last of the park redevelopment projects for southwest-area parks has been completed.
      Spring Valley Park, 4220 S. Ravenwood Ave., is the latest under the Clark County Redevelopment Project to acquire improvements.
