Revival set for Methodist church

Green Valley United Methodist Church, 220 Robindale Road, invites the public to Inside Out, a Christian revival. The revival is scheduled nightly at 7 p.m. today through Sunday.
Dan Morley, pastor of Desert Spring UMC, will be the keynote speaker. Singing, praise music, choirs, food and children's crafts are planned. Nursery care will be provided.

n Ahavat Torah Synagogue and Child Haven are sponsoring the second Carousel of Love, a gala honoring the children of Child Haven. The event is set for Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the Venetian Hotel. The Blue Man Group will perform during the event.
Proceeds from the event, which include a silent auction, will go to support both the Las Vegas Community Outreach program at Ahavat Torah and Child Haven. Those interested can call 242-6312 for reservations.
n Naomi Newman of A Traveling Jewish Theatre will perform "Snake Talk: Urgent Messages from the Mother" on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 South Brush St.
Newman will examine the three stages of the Goddess -- the maiden, the mother and the crone -- referring to ancient mythology when the Goddess had the snake as her ally and teacher.
Tickets for this event are $12 at the door at $10 in advance. Tickets are available through TicketMaster, 474-4000 for an additional service charge.
n All local women are are invited to gather at Griffith United Methodist Church, 1701 E. Oakey Blvd., on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in observance of the 2000 May Friendship Day service. A continental breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. for a donation of $1.50. Those interested can call 254-7256.
