The show begins at 7 p.m.
Going into the final race, Yamaha's Jeremy McGrath of Menifee, Calif., leads the overall season race in the 250cc class with 322 points. He is followed by David Vuillemin of France at 297, Mike Larocco, of South Bend, Ind., at 262, Kevin Windham of Ethel, La., at 238 and Ricky Carmichael of Havana, Fla., at 234.
Vuillemin won the last 250cc main event in New Orleans, followed by McGrath, Windham and Carmichael. Stephane Roncada topped the podium in the 125cc East Regional class.
The start of the 250cc main event was intense, as McGrath grabbed the lead exiting the first turn, but was forced outside into the tough blocks and dropped to second behind Vuillemin. Any other rider would have surely gone down when put into that predicament, but the skillful McGrath managed to remain on the bike.
Ultimately, McGrath and Vuillemin decided to make it a two-man showdown, matching each other's pace and taking it to the limit lap by lap. McGrath managed to get past Vuillemin, but only for a brief time as Vuillemin immediately regained the lead and held off a charging McGrath for the victory.
With the drop of the gate in the 125cc East Regional main event, Branden Jesseman was the fastest man to the first turn. Travis Pastrana and Ernesto Fonseca both had their problems in the beginning and were forced to work their way through traffic throughout the race.
Jesseman relinquished the lead to Brock Sellards, who was then caught and passed by Stephane Roncada. The finishing order in the 125cc class was Roncada, Sellards and Pastrana. It was a tough evening for Fonseca, who has been searching for his first victory of the year.
Looking strong in the practice sessions and even stronger in his qualifier, Fonseca fell in the first turn after getting crossed up on a small jump.
In their qualifier for the evening program, Kevin Windham, Carmichael and McGrath were in a dead heat battle, with all three riders sharing the lead at one time or another. McGrath came out on top and all three riders advanced to the main event.
