VIGIL

Groups to mark

World AIDS Day

Different faiths from around the valley are joining together in recognition of World AIDS Day. AIDS Interfaith Ministries will sponsor a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m., Nov. 30, at the Congregation Ner Tamid, 2761 Emerson Ave.

Rabbi Sanford Akselrad will begin the service with a prayer. Leaders from the Jewish and Christian Community will offer prayer readings and a special HIV/AIDS litany. Participants include the Congregation Ner Tamid adult and children's choirs, the Air Force Gospel Choir, New vision Teen Theatre, the Las Vegas Gay and Lesbian Chorus, First Presbyterian Hand Bell Choir, and a large interfaith choir.
