
Clements is town's top playerLarsens Enterprise third baseman Tommy Clements is this year's softball player of the year. This hard-hitting slugger has had a tremendous year for Las Vegas' No. 1-ranked softball team. Clutch hits, long home runs and diving stops at the hot corner, along with fierce intensity to win are a few of the attributes Clements brings to the table. This year's all-stars are loaded with new faces. Infielder Trevor Condie is the best young infielder in town. He hits to all fields. Infielder Hondo Berg is an old-school player who finds a way to win. Infielder Darrel Todd is a strong left-handed slugger. Infielder Joe Vasquez is an ex-Silverado High School star that is adjusting very well to slow-pitch softball action. Infielder Troy Fenn is a seasoned veteran and one of the keys to Larsens' big year. Infielder Chuck Somers has tremendous bat control. Outfielder Denny Crine has the skills to perform at the play-for-pay level. He is a devastating hitter. Outfielder Tim Smallwood is the runner-up player of the year. He's a .700 hitter with serious pop. Outfielder Corey Parsons is the best unknown player in town. Outfielder Steve Dudek is the best player when he is healthy. Outfielder Jim Larsen was last year's player of the year and had another great season this year. Outfielder Eric Kirkbride hits better than .700 every year and makes his teammates better. Pitcher Bert Cochran is a former Water Wells player and is having his best year ever this season with Extreme Kaos. Pitcher Andy Borgna is becoming one of Las Vegas' best left-handed power hitters. Catcher Dave Molinaro is like a fine wine and just gets better with age. Catcher Rich Kirk is the best hitter on a solid Styxx team. Designated hitter Rick Cadwallader is large and in charge. He had a monster year and led Skuds to a second-place finish in the summer nationals. Designated hitter Joe Fiora is the best senior player in town and a star with Ringers, Team Sport and L.V. Posse. The second-team all-stars consists of infielders Derek Federman, Paul Churchfield, Mike Verso, Chris Adams, Ron DeAngelis and Mike Mauntel. Outfielders on the second team are Andy Arata, Jerry Moller, John Tilton, Gary Morano, Scot Fenn and Pat Ward. The second-team pitchers are Thomba Fremuth and Owen Ondresko, and the catchers are Boomer Morrow and Greg Rhoades. The designated hitters on the second team are Kevin Stephens and Frankie Crespo. The top reserves would be Landy Uriguay, Jeff Traylor, Al Garcia, Juan Kim, Alex Amabru, Troy Griffith, Kyle Truax, Eric Nicksick, Mike Roberts, Ray Swaggerty, Joey Braboy, Al Moller, Bill Kephart, Rick Denton and Tony Lato.
