Hip-hop festival

set for Lorenzi

The city of Las Vegas' Community School program has scheduled a Hip-Hop Festival for 6 p.m. today at the Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park, 3300 W. Washington Ave.

Autopsy recording artists C-TAZ and 2KUL will perform. Tickets are $5 at the door. Those interested can call 229-2482.

Retirement options

seminar slated

Las Ventanas, a Westport Senior Living Community, is scheduled to give seniors an opportunity to meet with retirement living options industry experts at a seminar and breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at The Summit restaurant, 2215 Thomas Ryan Blvd.

DINNER/CONCERT

Benefit show

slated at Regent

Singer Maura O'Connell is scheduled perform a dinner concert to benefit the U.S.-Ireland Alliance Friday at the Regent Las Vegas.

The Grammy-nominated singer from County Clare, Ireland will perform with The Indulgers as the opening act. Admission to dinner and the concert is $50.

Awareness fair

at Meadows Mall

The city of Las Vegas has scheduled its semi-annual Leisure Awareness Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Meadows Mall.

The event is for all ages and will provide extensive information on programs, classes, activities, leagues and events offered through various centers in Las Vegas.
