SENIIOR PRO RODEO: Pair refuse to slow down

Jimmie Kimp, of Corvallis, Mont., finished up the women's barrel racing competition last Sunday in 20.3 seconds, a little behind the top time of 17.9 seconds in the 60-year-old and over division of the Pahrump Senior Pro Rodeo at McCullough Arena.

Pahrump hurler tosses no-hitter that doesn't count

Junior pitcher Josh Frye tossed a no-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader called because of darkness after five innings, helping the Pahrump Valley High baseball team to a 5-0 victory over Virgin Valley at Mesquite last Friday. Unfortunately Frye's feat won't be recorded as a win, since they didn't play a complete game.
