Four busloads of visitors from Pahrump were part of the entourage of 42 buses taking an estimated 2,500 people on a tour of the Nevada Test Site during Family Day Jan. 27, to mark the 50th anniversary of the first atomic bomb blast in 1951.

Girls bid adieu to home court

Seniors Emily Cross, Lori Hopkins and Ashley Hastings said they weren't nostalgic going into the last basketball game at their home gym last Friday night against Boulder City. But some of the fans and the coach might have been as the banner was unfurled at halftime commemorating their Class 3A Southern League championship.
