Saturday, Feb. 10, from 1-4 p.m. KB Home, Nevada's largest homebuilder, invites local residents to join in a Valentine's Day heart-healthy event featuring therapist Diane Donovan-Vaughn, blood pressure checks and chair massages from Nevada Career Institute, and CPR demonstrations. Parents asked to

plant tree for loss

The Las Vegas Department of Leisure is offering a chance for parents who have lost a child to plant a tree in their honor at Children's Memorial Park at the intersection of Torrey Pines and Gowan Road. Trees are reserved on a first come, first served basis and are $150 each.

to gain credits

Beginning Feb. 6, at Clark High School, 4291 Pennwood Ave. and ending March 12 The Greater Las Vegas Inner-City Games will offer teachers the opportunity to gain 3 Professional Development Experience Credits for $10 per credit.Teachers can volunteer at any of the Inner-City Games events.
