Graffiti a mark of shame

The messages of graffiti sprayed on numerous walls around Pahrump are often indecipherable -- sometimes words with symbols, sometimes just words. The messages aren't studied with glee, like scientists viewing petroglyphs scrawled on rocks by ancient inhabitants.

School rezoning option approved

A school rezoning option billed as the most balanced for school enrollment -- Option B -- was chosen by Nye County School Board members at a Feb. 12 meeting. The option was formed by input from four school principals.
