PAHRUMP VALLEY HIGH: Winter athletes honored

When it came to nominating the most valuable player on the girls basketball team, coach Bob Hopkins split the award among his three starting seniors -- Ashley Hastings, Emily Cross and Lori Hopkins. Austin Thompson was named most valuable player on the boys basketball team, and Neal Cowley, the only wrestler to win a state title this year, the MVP for wrestling, when winter sports awards were handed out at the Pahrump Valley High School gym last night.
