Students take virtual field trip with Cirque du Soleil

K.O. Knudson Middle School students sporting bright red clown noses waited excitedly to begin their field trip to Atlanta, Ga., on Jan. 17. Instead of loading into yellow school busses or packing onto airplanes, students ran away to the circus while sitting quietly in the Knudson Theater in front of a plain white screen.

Jaguars move to the top

The Desert Pines football team made a big splash in its second season and now the boys basketball team is doing the same thing. The Jaguars, who finished last in their Northeast Division with a 1-7 record last year, have gone from worst to first this season, with a perfect 4-0 mark (13-4 overall), at press time.
