Mary Jo Ashmore Mary Jo "Josie" Ashmore, age 57, died July 9 in Pahrump. She was born Sept. 17, 1943 in Moline, Ill. A saleswoman in the carpet industry, she was a three-month resident of Pahrump. She is survived by her sons, Rick Ashmore of Indiana and Charles Ashmore of Iowa; daughter, Donna Blanche of Iowa; brother, Louis Williams of Missouri; three sisters, Norma Gramling, Betty Hostlaw, both of Illinois, and Shirley Peters of Missouri; and three grandchildren. Services will be held in Colona, Ill., at a later date. Neptune Society of Nye County handled arrangements.
Maxine Inez Barner Maxine Inez Barner, age 83, died July 22 in Pahrump. She was born Jan. 3, 1918 in Hawthorne, Okla. A retired assistant personnel manager for the Environmental Protection Agency, she was a seven-year resident of Pahrump. She is survived by her husband, James Robert Barner Sr.; son, James Robert "Bob" (Jo Ann) Barner Jr. of Pahrump; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Barner; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were held July 26 in the Neptune Society of Nye County Chapel. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Billy Martin of Pahrump Valley United Methodist Church officiating. Neptune Society of Nye County handled arrangements.
Lucile Daisy DeCristo Lucile Daisy "Tommy" DeCristo, age 86, died July 18 in Pahrump. She was born July 30, 1914 in Rifle, Colo. A retired waitress, she was a two-year resident of Pahrump. She is survived by her husband, John DeCristo; two daughters, Joann Titus of Las Vegas and Patricia (Charles) Harker of Iowa; brother, Robert Delmore Orr of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Private family services were held. Neptune Society of Nye County handled the arrangements.
Joe Matthew Hadley Joe Matthew Hadley, age 74, died July 21 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1926 in Cape Fair, Mo. A retired mill worker in the lumber industry, he was a three-year resident of Pahrump. He is survived by Helen Henshaw of Pahrump; sons, Earin Hadley of Idaho and Matt Hadley of California; a daughter, Pamela Briscoe of California; brother, Don Hadley of Missouri; sisters, Madge Patton and Selah Farmer both of Missouri; and eight grandchildren. Graveside services were held July 25 at Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Billy Martin presiding. Neptune Society of Nye County handled arrangements.
James Austin Jensen James Austin "Jim" Jensen, age 58, died July 17 in Pahrump. He was born Sept. 29, 1942 in Los Angeles. A manager in the rubber manufacturing industry, he was an eight-year resident of Pahrump. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lynn Jensen; a son, James B. Jensen of California; two stepsons, Timothy Albitz of California and Terry Albitz of New York; two daughters, Lisa Carlson and Marina Hoff of California; three brothers, Dave Jensen and Arthur Jensen, both of California and Phillip Jensen of Pahrump; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Neptune Society of Nye County Chapel. In lieu of flowers donate to Nye County Animal Shelter in memory of Jim Jensen. Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society of Nye County.
Orazio Joseph Lucido Orazio Joseph Lucido, age 87, died July 15 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 2, 1913 in Martinez, Calif. A retired yard foreman for a road department, he was a 14-year resident of Pahrump. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Ruth Lucido; two sons, Lawrence P. (Myrtle) Lucido of Oregon and Joseph A. (Lilly) Lucido of California; a daughter, Linda M. (Gregory) Hayes of California; two sisters, Pearl Lucido and Rose Hankins, both of California; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private family services were held. Neptune Society of Nye County handled the arrangements.
Laura Ann Rogers Laura Ann Rogers, age 39, died July 14 in Pahrump. She was born Aug. 31, 1961 in Huntington, W.Va. A case worker for Family Resource Center, she was a four-month resident of Pahrump. She is survived by her father, George Clinton (Patricia) Bills of Kentucky; her mother, Betty Edens of Pahrump; her husband, Jimmy Rogers of Kentucky; two sons, David Thomas Weisbarth II and Justin Michael Harvey, both of Pahrump; two daughters, Kelly Theresa Weisbarth of Yellowstone National Park and Tiffany Marie Harvey of Pahrump; brother, George Clinton Bills Jr. of Kentucky; sister, Donna Jean Feistner of Montana; a half-sister, Mary Lorraine Andrews of Kentucky; and one grandchild. Services were held July 18 at the Neptune Chapel with Pastor Basil Monroe officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society of Nye County. |
