PARKS & RECREATION COURSES: Amateur archers take aim for fun
A line of archers stood ready, bows drawn, targets sited, prepared to shoot. As the arrows flew, some skidded across the ground, others flew clear of the targets and into the "rough," but many flew through the air hitting their mark with a bull's-eye. Not bad for a class of first-time amateurs from ages 7 on up. After a few minutes of instruction and two hours of practice, even the least experienced archer was making progress.
