This horse and carriage is an example of the handiwork Raymond Otto, a southwest resident, is capable of. To the left is a replica of the Eiffel Tower. Since his retirement, Otto has turned to woodworking, and spends seven days a week at his leased space on South Valley View Boulevard.

CRAFTSMAN: He's very good with wood

He attended school in a one-room schoolhouse. He never went past the eighth grade. But what Raymond Otto creates with a tiny saw and the patience that work demands is something not taught in any facility of higher education.
