Great Western Insurance Co. recently received the highest rating among the country's biggest preneed companies, a rating provided by the funeral industry publication Preneed Perspective in its annual insurance company ratings issue. Great Western is owned by Las Vegas' Palm Mortuaries.

Carpenter Sellers Associates was honored recently with two design awards at the first annual DESI Awards for architecture. Carpenter Sellers' custom home won the award for Best Custom Home Design and the Grand Award for best overall.

Pulte celebrates

10 years of building

Pulte Homes Las Vegas Division recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of home building in the Las Vegas market. As a thank you, the company donated time, expertise, supplies and books to local schools across the valley, including Carson Elementary, Lynch Elementary, Sunrise Acres Elementary, Ronnow Elementary, Garrett Middle School and Sewell Elementary.

Bank breaks ground

in southwest

Bank of Commerce recently broke ground and began construction of its new branch at 5295 S. Decatur Blvd. The new property, scheduled to open in March, is approximately 5,000 square feet and includes a 24-hour drive-up automated teller machine.
