EVENTS

Chamber orchestra

to perform Saturday

Desert Spring Chamber Orchestra will perform selections of Mozart, Dvorak and Vivaldi in a concert Saturday at 7 p.m. at Desert Spring United Methodist Church, 120 N. Pavilion Center Drive.

Tickets are $10 general admission; $7 for seniors and veterans. Children under 12 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door. For more information, call 256-5933.

String series show

set for June 20

The Guitar Society of Las Vegas , the Howard Hughes Corp. and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District present John Clare and Victor Hugo Alvarez in a violin/piano recital at 7 p.m. June 20 at the Summerlin Library, 1771 Inner Circle Drive.

The concert will highlight the music of Grazyna, Mozart, Bartok, Schubert and Massenet. Admission is free to the public. For more information, contact the Summerlin Library at 507-3863.

Medicare may

provide wheelchairs

All Medicare recipients should be aware that if they suffer from conditions such as arthritis, cardiovascular disease and respiratory disorders, and have difficulty walking or propelling a standard wheelchair, they may be eligible to receive an electric wheelchair paid for by Medicare.

Kids can attend

Camp Lee Canyon

There are spaces still available for boys and girls ages 8-12 to attend overnight camps at Camp Lee Canyon.
