The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is giving a graduation gift to all local high school seniors by offering free grandstand admission to Titan Auto Insurance Midnight Mayhem June 27.
"This is our way of congratulating the young men and women who worked hard all year and stayed in school," said Chris Blair, LVMS' director of drag racing operations.
Students interested in obtaining their free tickets to Titan Auto Insurance Midnight Mayhem Grad Night should have their high school administrator contact Jayne Pugh at LVMS at 632-8252. The speedway will issue free passes to each school for distribution to their seniors.
Midnight Mayhem is billed as a safe social event for young adults who enjoy cars and music. Each Midnight Mayhem event features a car show hosted by International All Stars, a disc jockey and midway attractions. An NHRA-certified safety crew is on hand in case of an accident. Cans, bottles, weapons and alcohol are not allowed. Beer is not sold during the event and each person must pass through a metal detector when entering the facility.
Titan Auto Insurance Midnight Mayhem -- The Strip's safe alternative to illegal street racing -- is open to any licensed driver with a currently-registered car or motorcycle with proof of insurance. Drivers younger than 18 are required to present a completed parental consent form. The race entry fee is $10.
Midnight Mayhem at The Strip is also scheduled for June 6, June 13, June 20, July 11, July 18, July 25, Aug. 8, Aug. 22 and Aug. 29.
