Favorite Sons & Daughters



View welcomes announcements of recent achievements of Favorite Sons & Daughters who have graduated from local high schools. Achievements may run the gamut from earning a college degree to successfully climbing Mount Everest. Please include the name of the area high school and year graduated. Stephen Lemoine, a 2002 graduate of Rancho High Academy of Aerospace and Aviation, is currently studying Secondary Education at Nevada State College. Lemoine recently accepted membership into the Nevada States Education Association and the National Education Association. He is the son of Gary and Glenda Lemoine of Las Vegas.

Jasmine E. Miller, Navy Airman, graduated from Basic High School in 2000. Miller and fellow Sailors aboard the USS Nimitz were recently visited by the pop band Blink 182, who performed a concert aboard the aircraft carrier. The Nimitz is currently deployed to the Western Pacific in support of the global war on terrorism. Miller is the daughter of Melissa E. Towbin of Las Vegas.

Andrew Rodriguez, Navy Petty Officer, graduated from Western High School in 1985. Rodriguez and fellow Sailors aboard the USS Nimitz were recently visited by the pop band Blink 182, who performed a concert aboard the aircraft carrier. The Nimitz is currently deployed to the Western Pacific in support of the global war on terrorism. Rodriguez is the son of Encledes Rodriguez of Las Vegas.

Gregory M. Sneed, Navy Petty Officer, graduated from Cimarron-Memorial High School in 1994. Sneed and fellow Sailors aboard the USS Nimitz were recently visited by the pop band Blink 182, who performed a concert aboard the aircraft carrier. The Nimitz is currently deployed to the Western Pacific in support of the global war on terrorism. Sneed is the son of Shelli M. Schectman of Las Vegas.
