AWARDS
Lunch program to
honor philanthropists
The Las Vegas Chapter of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals has recognized six individuals and organizations as outstanding contributors to philanthropy.
The awards will be presented at the 12th Annual Southern Nevada Philanthropy Day celebration luncheon set for 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5 in the Skyview Room at Bally's.
Award winners for 2003 include Louis Castle, outstanding philanthropist; Tony Bond, Outstanding volunteer fund-raiser; The LandWell Company, outstanding corporate giver; North Las Vegas Rotary Club, Outstanding Service Organization; Las Vegas Sun, outstanding media supporter and Nevada Public Radio's Lamar Marchese, outstanding fund-raising executive.

planning luncheon
The University of Philippines Alumni Association of Nevada is inviting alumni from the school to a picnic lunch reunion.
The lunch is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 15 at Hills Park in Summerlin.
The alumni association is a nonprofit organization formed to promote the traditions and goals of the University of the Philippines.
Alumni with two or more years of attendance at any University of the Philippines campus, including University of the Philippines High School, are eligible for membership in the organization.
