Titanic secrets film to be shown
Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave., plans to show the film "Secrets of the Titanic" at 7 p.m. tonight.
The library also has scheduled "Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai," for 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Craft sale proceeds to benefit local
A Northwest Girl Scout troop decided to help a local boy who suffers from migraines, so they have reserved a spot at a local crafts fair and they plan to donate all proceeds to the boy's medical bank account.
The event is slated for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, in the Molasky Middle School gymnasium, 7801 W. Gilmore Ave.
Entry to the fair is $2 per person.
Horesemen's group plans show
The Nevada State Horsemen's Association Region V will hold its next show, Saturday and Sunday at Horseman's Park, 5800 E. Flamingo Road.
The Open Breed show begins at 8 a.m. each day and is free and open to the public. Special activities for the Easter weekend show are planned.
Other show dates are: May 15 and 16, June 11 and 12 (night show), August 27 and 28 (night show), Sept. 24 and 25 (night show), and Nov. 6 and 7.

Scout Expo coming to Lorenzi
The 2004 Annual Scout Expo is slated for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 at Lorenzi Park, on Washington Avenue, west of Rancho Road.
"America's Great Frontiers" is the theme and will feature more than 100 demonstrations and interactive exhibits.

MOMS Club slates open house
MOMS Club Las Vegas-Summerlin invites all at-home mothers and their children to its open house planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive.
MOMS stands for Moms Offering Moms Support which offers planned activities, playgroups and park play days.

Beta Sigma Phi Founder's Day coming
Las Vegas City Council of Beta Sigma Phi, an International Women's Organization, plans to celebrate its annual Founders' Day celebration at 11:30 a.m. April 25 at Texas Station in the Dallas Ballroom.
The event will include the installation of officers, recognition of chapter Women of the Year, 25- and 50-year members along with revealing of the chapter of the year.

Children's Choir scheduled to visit
The African Children's Choir plans to be in concert at 7 p.m. Monday at Desert Spring United Methodist Church, 120 N. Pavilion Center Drive.
The choir is comprised of 6- to 11-years-olds who have lost one or both parents to AIDS or other diseases and are now fighting a daily battle to survive.

High school teachers put on 'Grease'
Cimarron-Memorial High School plans to hold its faculty-filled musical "Grease" at 7 p.m. April 14-16 at the school's theater, 2301 N. Tenaya Way,
The adults perform the same play their students put on, only these performances fund the school's annual scholarship for graduating seniors. The faculty has raised more than $70,000 to help students afford college.

Festive dog activities planned
Puppy Enterprises Dog Salon & Bakery, 1780 N. Buffalo Drive, plans to host the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday for photo opportunities.
Dog owners can build their own basket with bunnies and chicks that squeak, carrots filled with puppy popcorn, bunny ears for dogs to wear for the egg hunt, frilly summer dresses and spring T-shirts.
Puppy Enterprises will hand out sample doggie delicacies and Mr. Cottontail will pose for a free photo.

JW Marriott plans spring brunch
JW Marriott has scheduled a visit from the Easter Bunny during the Annual Easter Brunch in Ceres Restaurant from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with three seatings available on Sunday.
Diners will have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating with pricing as follows: Adults $30 per person, children 3-12 are $16.95 per person and tots under three are complimentary. For reservations, call 869-7381.
The Easter Bunny will bring five of his friends to entertain children with face painting, balloon creations and a craft table. Families can get their photograph taken with the floppy-eared one and receive a complimentary picture and frame to remember the day.
Rounding off the fun will be an Easter Egg Hunt scheduled during all three seatings with three age categories.
Whole Foods offers Sushi, kids games
Chef Dino Moody from Hollywood will be in Las Vegas to instruct two Sushi 101 sessions from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Whole Foods Market, 8855 W. Charleston Blvd.
The nonrefundable registration fee is $15, and sign ups are being taken at the customer service counter.
Chef Dino will cover the basics and each participant will receive the tools and ingredients needed to make hand-molded sushi (nigiri) and a nori roll.
The store also plans Easter Eggcitement from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday: Make a bunny sundae; Have your face painted; Try to pin the ears on the bunny; Coloring contest; Guess how many jellybeans there are.

State Park announces spring events
Spring Mountain Ranch State Park announces its spring schedule. Events include a co-sponsored excursion Wildflowers of Valley of Fire, slated for noon, April 17 at Valley of Fire State Park. The three-hour program includes an easy walking tour.
Also, Spinning and Weaving, part of the ranch's Living History Program is planned for 9 .a.m. to 3 p.m. April 18 on the upper ranch grounds. See how pioneers used looms and spinning wheels to make cloth.
A Wildlife Program is slated to start 2 p.m. both April 24 and April 25 in the picnic area. Topics will include park animals from lizards to mountain lions and include animal displays.
Woodsy Owl Arts & Craft Day is slated for May 8. There will be free admission to the park that day.
