At its Aug. 11 meeting, the North Las Vegas Planning Commission voted to:

• Approve and forward to the City Council for consideration an amendment to the comprehensive plan, land use element, from low-density residential to office and a reclassification from single-family residential to professional office commercial district at 2312 Perliter Ave.

• Approve and forward to the City Council for consideration an amendment to the master plan of streets and highways to delete Commerce Street from Deer Springs Way to Dorrell Lane.

• Forward to the City Council an application for an amendment to the comprehensive plan, land use element, from neighborhood commercial to high-density residential and a reclassification from planned unit development to multifamily residential at the northeast corner of Lone Mountain Road and Simmons Street.

• Approve and forward to the City Council for consideration an amendment to the comprehensive plan, land use element, from low-density residential to high-density residential and a reclassification from ranch estates to multifamily residential at the southeast corner of Losee Road and Deer Springs Way.

• Approve and forward to the City Council for consideration a reclassification of property from business park industrial to general industrial district at the southwest corner of Castleberry Lane and Tropical Parkway.

• Continue to today an application for an extension of time for a use permit in a neighborhood commercial district to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a tavern south of Lake Mead Boulevard, 225 feet east of Simmons Street.

• Continue to today an application for an extension of time for a use permit in a neighborhood commercial district to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a tavern east of Simmons Street 540 feet south of Centennial Parkway.

• Continue to today an application for a variance in a single-family residential district to allow a six-foot rear setback where 50 feet is required for a religious institution at 3720 Haddock Ave.

• Continue to today an application for a use permit in a single-family residential district to allow an expansion to an existing church at 3720 Haddock Ave.

• Approve a use permit in a single-family residential district to allow the reconstruction of a single-family home with two waivers and without a garage at 3424 Juelene Way.

• Deny an application for a use permit in a general industrial district to allow a 60-foot-high off-premise sign 465 feet north of Cheyenne Avenue and east of Losee Road.

• Approve a use permit in a planned unit development district to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a restaurant at 4210 W. Craig Road.

• Approve a use permit in a multifamily residential district to allow a single-family dwelling at 2240 Carroll St.

• Deny an application for a use permit in a general commercial district to allow a financial institution at the southwest corner of Ann Road and Simmons Street.

• Approve a use permit in a general commercial district to allow a financial institution at 3073 Craig Road.

• Approve an ordinance to amend the municipal code to allow for a waiver from the masonry screen wall required around the perimeter of mini-warehouses.

• Approve a site plan review in a master planned community -- general commercial district at the northwest corner of Deer Springs Way and Aliante Parkway.

• Approve a tentative map in a planned unit development district consisting of one commercial lot at the northeast corner of Valley Drive and Cheyenne Avenue.

• Continue to today an application for a tentative map in a planned unit development district consisting of 168 units at the southwest corner of Statz Street and Centennial Parkway.

• Continue to Sept. 8 an application for an amendment to the comprehensive plan, land use element, from low density residential and neighborhood commercial to high density residential and an application to reclassify property from single-family residential and neighborhood commercial to multi-family residential south of Centennial Parkway 500 feet east of Ferrell Street.

• Continue to Sept. 8 an application to amend the comprehensive plan, land use element, from low density residential to neighborhood commercial at the northwest corner of Ranch House Road and Simmons Street.

• Continue to Sept. 8 an application for a use permit in a neighborhood commercial district to allow a child care facility at the southwest corner of Centennial Parkway and Simmons Street.

• Continue to Sept. 8 an application for a site plan review in a neighborhood commercial district and a single-family residential district to allow buildings to be located toward the rear of the property and to allow a 10-foot landscape buffer where 20 feet is required at the southwest corner of Simmons Street and Centennial Parkway.

• Approve a use permit in a general industrial district to allow an off-premise sign at the southeast corner of Lamb Boulevard and Ann Road.

• Approve a use permit in a general industrial district to allow an off-premise sign 1,302 feet south of Ann Road and west of Interstate 15.

• Approve a use permit in a general industrial district to allow an off-premise sign at the southwest corner of Lamb Boulevard and Interstate 15.

• Approve a use permit in a neighborhood commercial district to allow an automobile service facility, a car wash and a convenience food store with gas pumps at the southwest corner of Valley Drive and Craig Road.

• Approve a final development plan review in a planned unit development district consisting of 168 condominiums at the southwest corner of Statz Street and Centennial Parkway.
