PHOTO: National Trails Day

Joann Doramus of Nampa, Ida., a volunteer at St. Jude's Ranch for Children, gets in some practice in the Hemenway Valley for National Trails Day, starting at 8 a.m. Friday, at the Nevada Railway Museum. Hikers, bikers, riders, walkers and runners can participate in this free event where T-shirts will be handed out (for as long as they last) and lunch will be served. The event is sponsored by the Southern Nevada Regional Trails Partnership and the River Mountains Trail Partnership Advisory Council.
