Thirty hot air balloons will take flight during the 6th annual Las Vegas Hot Air Balloon Festival next weekend at the Durango Hills YMCA, 2500 N. Durango Drive. The public is invited to come early to watch the balloons be launched. Competitive balloon racing will begin at 6 a.m. Sept. 18 and 19. Balloons will shine in the night during the Sept. 18 Balloon Glow at 7 p.m. Balloon rides will be sold for $150, with proceeds going to Deaf Kids' Kamp, a free camp for deaf children.
