I was a bride in your Once Upon 100 Weddings, and I can't begin to describe the fun all of us had. Meeting couples from around the world and from my own community was an awesome experience. I made friends with so many people! We gambled like crazy, danced on bars, and we saw Will Ferrell rock in Wedding Crashers. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I was so happy to experience it with such a great group of people.
All you who put this event together are great! Esther Carter is amazing and funny and single -- so men just snatch her up. Benita Crook was my mom and sister and best friend all rolled into one. Thank you for an amazing and wonderful time. We'll be back at the Golden Nugget on June 9, 2006 to celebrate our first anniversary. How about the rest of you 100 couples? We hope to see you back there too!

A wee bit o' Scotland in Las Vegas
My wife and I are traveling from Scotland to Las Vegas in September. This will be our third annual visit.
Back in September 2003, my then-girlfriend Sarah and I spent three weeks in the USA. We visited New York, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Reno, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
The one city that stood out in our minds was Las Vegas. We fell in love with the place. It was somewhere I'd always wanted to go, and it more than lived up to my expectations. It was on that visit that we got engaged with the intention of coming back in 2004 to get married.
Sure enough, we came back in September 2004 and got married at Wee Kirk O' The Heather wedding chapel. After searching the Internet we chose this chapel because of the Scottish theme. It was the best choice we could have made.
Everything on our wedding day was perfect, and the staff at the chapel couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. It was there we met our "new best friend" John, the wedding photographer. On the days following our wedding, John took us out and showed us a lot of sites we might not have seen without his guidance.
We promised John we'd be back for our anniversary. We got engaged there and got married there, so where else should we spend our first wedding anniversary, but in the best city in the world?
Las Vegas will always be my favorite place in the world and the source of so many great memories. I just wish I never had to leave!
