ACTIVITIES

First Friday, a monthly cultural open house and street festival held in the downtown Las Vegas Arts District, is held every first Friday of the month, from 6 to 10 p.m. Maps of the Arts District may be found at The Funk House, 1228 S. Casino Center Drive. They will also be available the evening of First Friday at S2Art, One East Charleston, or at The Red Rooster Antique Mall, 1109 Western Avenue. Mommy & Me classes are offered at 10 a.m. every Monday at Preston's Class Act, 2900 E. Patrick Lane, Suite 5B. The developmental class is where mom, dad, or grandparents can bring their 18 month to 2 and a half year old. DANCE

Dance Charisma offers beginning Salsa class from 8:15 to 9 p.m. and advanced Salsa class from 9 to 9:45 p.m. every Tuesday; group dance on Thursdays; newcomer's group class at 7:30 p.m. and an open house and party at 8:15 p.m. on Fridays and Latin club-style parties from 8 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays all at 3650 S. Tahitian-Cook Islands Dance Classes are held every Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 p.m. Beginners, intermediate and advanced level classes are offered. The Las Vegas Old Time Barn Dances are held once a month.
