At its April 20 meeting, the Las Vegas Planning Commission voted to:
Approve the use permit for a car wash in conjunction with a convenience store in a proposed shopping center on the northwest corner of Grand Canyon Drive and Russell Road.
Approve the tentative map for a commercial subdivision on 4.6 acres on the northwest corner of Russell Road and Grand Canyon Drive.
Approve the zone change to reclassify for future residential use 13 acres on the south side of Ford Avenue, 1,050 feet west of Fort Apache Road and 10 acres on the south side of Wigwam Avenue and the west side of Fort Apache Road and 2.8 acres for future commercial use on the east side of Decatur Boulevard and the north side of Wigwam Avenue.
Approve the zone change to reclassify 2.5 acres for a single-family residential development on the northeast corner of Tenaya Way and Mesa Vista Avenue.
Approve the zone change to reclassify 20 acres for future residential development on the northeast corner of Jones Boulevard and Serene Avenue.
Approve the waiver of conditions of a change requiring a detached sidewalk along Amigo Street to assist in buffering pedestrians along the right-of-way in conjunction with an Approve residential subdivision on 4.8 acres on the north side of St. Rose Parkway and the east side of Amigo Street.
Approve the street name/numbering change for an existing public street 100 to 2,000 feet west of Interstate 15, between Twain Avenue and Southern Highlands Parkway.
At its April 21 meeting, the commission voted to:
Approve the design review for a clubhouse expansion and remodel in conjunction with an existing apartment complex on 2.9 acres on the west side of Decatur Boulevard and 500 feet north of Edna Avenue.
Approve the design review for two retail buildings in conjunction with an office center on 10.7 acres on the north side of the Las Vegas Beltway and west of Cimarron Road.
Approve the tentative map for an industrial subdivision on 4.7 acres on the northeast corner of Patrick Lane and Edmond Street.
Approve the tentative map consisting of one commercial lot on approximately 19 acres within the Pinnacle Peaks Concept Plan Area on the northeast corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Windmill Lane.
Approve the tentative map consisting of 384 condominium units on 19 acres on the southeast corner of Jones Boulevard and Rochelle Avenue.
Approve the tentative map for a commercial subdivision on four acres on the east side of Rainbow Boulevard, south of Patrick Lane.
Approve the tentative map for an apartment complex conversion into a 168-unit condominium complex on 8.9 on the northwest corner of Edmond Street and Hacienda Avenue.
Approve the tentative map of 38 single-family residential lots on five acres on the northeast corner of Martin Avenue and Quarterhorse Lane.
Approve the use permits to construct a communications facility consisting of 68-foot decorative monopalm with associated screened ground equipment on a portion of 6.5 acres and to reduce the setback from right-of-way in conjunction with a communications facility on the southeast corner of Russell Road and the Las Vegas Beltway.
Approve use permits for a massage establishment within a shopping center on the southwest corner of Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard.
Approve the use permit to increase the height of a previously approved place of worship on the north side of Windmill Lane, west of Buffalo Drive.
At its May 3 meeting, the Las Vegas Planning Commission voted to:
Approve the tentative map of 28 single-family residential lots on 15 acres on the east and west sides of Cimarron Road, south of Windmill Lane.
Approve the waiver of development standards for alternative off-site development standards in conjunction with an approved subdivision on 2.7 acres on the west side of Spencer Street, north of St. Rose Parkway.
Approve the waiver of landscaping along the south property line adjacent to a residential use and to approve the design review for a retail building in conjunction with an existing shopping center on the south side of Tropicana Avenue and the west side of Jones Boulevard.
Approve the waivers of development standards to allow wall signs, channel letters internally illuminated, two of the three signs to exceed 25 square feet, and allow three wall signs on the building where one nameplate is permitted and allow two wall signs to cross property lines where not permitted on the west side of Gilespie Street, south of Warm Springs Road.
Approve the waivers of development standards to reduce parking in conjunction with a proposed retail center and to approve the design review of a retail center on the southwest corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Robindale Road.
Approve the waiver of development standards to reduce lot sizes in conjunction with a single-family subdivision on 2.5 acres on the south side of Hacienda Avenue, east of Durango Drive.
Approve the tentative map for a subdivision consisting of 5 single-family residential lots on 2.5 acres on the south side of Hacienda Avenue, east of Durango Drive.
Approve to vacate and abandon a portion of right-of-way being Frias Avenue located between Rainbow Boulevard and a point to the east of Rosanna Street in the Mountains Edge Master Planned Community.
Approve to vacate and abandon easements located between Pama Lane and Maule Avenue, and between Valadez Street and Miller Lane.
Approve to vacate and abandon a portion of a right-of-way being Pebble Road located between Parvin Street and Interstate 15.
Approve to vacate and abandon easements located between Doobie Avenue and Neal Avenue, and between Placid Street and La Cienega Street. Approve the tentative map for a subdivision consisting of five single-family residential lots and to approve the design review to address subdivision design and transitioning of lot sizes to the surrounding properties on 2.2 acres on the south side of Doobie Avenue and the west side of Placid Street.
