Book on Las Vegas perspective to launch

The Las Vegas Perspective 2005, a book on Las Vegas demographics and business information, will launch at 3 p.m. on April 19 at the Orleans Arena, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave. This is the 25th Anniversary of the Las Vegas Perspective and to commemorate this, the theme will be Then and Now: a 25th Anniversary Special Edition.

Mayor Oscar Goodman will serve as this year's host to honor the past 25 years. Somer Hollingsworth, president and chief executive officer of the Nevada Development Authority will deliver the keynote address. Businesses citywide benefit from the Las Vegas Perspective as it provides the most comprehensive information for Southern Nevada professionals and those looking to relocate to the area. The book will follow the same format as previous years, but also will highlight the recent trend for high-rise towers and condominiums, and the significant amount of rainfall the city has received.

The cost for one book and a general admittance ticket to the Las Vegas Perspective event is $40 for early registration and $50 at the door. For tickets and additional information, call 804-0037.
