Horseback ride to aid therapeutic program

Spirt Therapies Inc., a therapeutic riding program designed to help people with Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy and spinal cord injuries, scheduled its second annual trail ride for Sunday at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park in Red Rock Canyon.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the ride starting at 9 a.m. The $25 fee includes breakfast and lunch. Bring your own horse, or rent one at the park. Nonrider activities get under way at 11 a.m. For more information, call 219-1728.
