MARV ELLISTON: Art with an edge
Rainbow Library exhibit to display artist's influences

Marv Elliston is into graffiti. He doesn't spray it on walls. He borrows from its style to create oil and acrylic paintings that fetch at least $3,000 a piece.

Starting Aug. 8, some of his work will be on display through Oct. 15 at the Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive. The 12-piece collection is titled Curbside: the 2006 Art Collection.

YOUTH GOLF: Training future stars
Angel Park plays host to Summerlin junior academy

If you want to try to get your child a good start in the game of golf, Tom Carlson is the guy to see.

Employing the same methods used to train professional golfers, Carlson, the director and founder of the Summerlin Junior Golf Academy at Angel Park Golf Course, 100 S. Rampart Blvd., holds a variety of camps each summer that cater to the beginner all the way up to the serious student of the game.
